I have gotten into the habit of opening the kitchen blinds the minute I get out of bed, because you never know what you are going to spot... and it just takes a minute to miss it. Some mornings there is nothing, but some mornings you will spot something completely different. This morning it was a pair of black birds that had a huge wing span... and this was across the yard and above the trees. I would say that it would likely take 2 minutes to walk from the front door to the wooded area that encloses the yard. And then the birds were flying above the trees! And even from that distance, the wing span was amazing. Will have to do a bit of "googling" to see what kind of birds are in this part of the province!
